We are on this path together but only you will decide if we are going in the right direction

As a Person-Centred counsellor I believe that human beings are intrinsically social and that almost all of our troubles emerge from our relationships with others and, our relationship with ourselves. Our identity is socially constructed.

Whether these troubles stem from a lack of acceptance or care as a child, oppression by our society, the loss of a beloved person or pet or, an inner struggle to accept and love ourselves, I will provide a safe, non-judgmental and empathic space to explore where you will be seen, believed and heard.

Before we begin

I will ask that you complete a consent from prior to engaging in your first session. This asks for a small amount of personal information but only for the purpose of providing a personal welcome and having contacts in case of an emergency. You don't have to divulge any reasons for seeking counselling in writing if you do not wish to.

Professional standards

I abide by the ethical guidelines of the Australian Counselling Association of which I am a member. You are guaranteed confidentiality on the grounds that you are not a risk to yourself or anyone else. You are also guaranteed confidentiality within my office space.

What I Don't Do

I work only with adult clients and am currently not trained in addiction or diagnosing and assessing specific mental health conditions. Please consult your GP or the mental health organisations in your state for help outside my qualifications.

My work is grounded in respect for you and I will be honoured to share in your world.
